We often get queries about whether we know of writers groups in the areas so we have started this page. We present this as a service, but we cannot provide any personal reference or recommendation. If you are looking for new members for your Writers' Group send us some information (see contact us on site menu) and we'll be happy to post it here. You should include information about location, genre, meeting times, expectations, any "prerequisites," and of course, list a contact person, e-mail or other address.  In the event we post your information please let us know in the event "vacancies" are later filled, and we will remove the posting.

Individuals interested in joining a group should contact a listed group directly, expressing interest and including a brief bio.

Great Bay Writers – My “day job” is the night shift, and I’d like to form a group structured around weekend availability. If you’re available every other Saturday – with some flexibility as the group grows – please email me at greatbaywriters@gmail.com. I want to build the group around a formal structure of moderated critiques intended to support the writer, and can lend my background in print journalism toward that effort. If you have some ideas for writing exercises you’d like to introduce, bring ‘em on! If you consider writing a vocation, not just a hobby, we’ll probably get along well as writing colleagues. If you’re just starting out, and don’t know yet how you feel about writing, then you’re just like the rest of us :-)

I invite any persons interested in having a place (my home) to come and read their works or play their instruments along with others of a like mind. There are no set hours or dates, unlike other forums. Up to a dozen people at a time can participate. It can be anytime, day or night, week day or week ends. I need only to know when it is convient for folks to arrive. My gal pal is a jazz clarinetist and keyboard player, she visits on the weekends. If there is any interest feel free to contact me via an e-mail ERICWRITES@AOL.COM or by phone, (603)267-7586. I hope to hear from some folks from the lakes region, because there seems to be nothing in this vain in my area. I have had to travel to Dover, Effingham, Portsmouth, and Conway to get my fix of being with writers, poets and musicians. Eric L. Marsh
